The Green BRTS Project

Regreen is an environmental restoration centric initiative, thriving to recover the environmental destruction with the aim to encourage more people for environment conservation and to make city green. Dr. Nitin Sumant Shah, Chairman of Indian Heart Foundation & Research Institute financially supported the model to make Sola Cross Road, Jay Mangal, Shahstri Nagar, Pragati Nagar Bus stands more beautiful, attractive and environment friendly by doing vertical plantation on the walls of bus stands. This model had changed the way we look at BRTS bus stand and also the plants have the characteristic which consume Co2 and also cool down the temperature of the surrounding area. This project had its “Khat Muhurt” on 5^th June 2018 (World Environment Day) by the mayor of Ahmedabad City Mr. Gautam Shah. All the dignitaries including mayor and the Chairman of Indian Heart Foundation & Research Institute were present at the site for the inspection of ongoing project. It was also approved by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and got permission to develop vertical gardens around the selected four bus stops.
