Camp at Blind People’s Association

Heart Foundation and Research Institute organized Health Check-up Camps for students of Blind People Association as on 13th July 2013. The camp was organized at the Auditorium of Blind People Association, Ahmedabad which begin from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm. During the camp, general screening was also done for 118 students from BPA. Patients were given medicines for free of cost. Many students were diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension and other diseases of which they were unaware about the same.

After camps, not only do doctors feel a sense of satisfaction as they have given refuge to and helped patients who without such camps either do not have access to or cannot afford proper health care but also they are benefitted with the added patient outreach and conversion of small fraction of camp patients to clinical patients.
