Assistive Devices and Hearing aid programme-Sabarmati Jail

Venue: Central Jail, Sabarmati, Ahmedabad – 14^th Oct 2016

Dr. Nitin Sumant Shah, Chairman of Heart Foundation & Research Institute had taken a bold initiative providing assistive devices and hearing aid to jail birds. HFRI extended a big financial support in association with BPA for this purpose. About 55 jailbirds had been provided callipers, splints, braces and digital hearing aids for the prisoners of the Ahmedabad Central Jail. This aid was provided with the special request by Mr. Joshi, Superintendent Sabarmati Central Jail. It was also organised to bring positive attitudinal change, decrease in future crime rate, reduce dependency on others with the help of assistive devices, and maintain their self esteem
